How can we properly protect our children?

With the advent of the 24 hour News Networks, the competition in the News Media has grown rapidly.  We all know “if it bleeds, it leads”.  It is painfully obvious that the old days of reporting just the facts in an unbiased, manner, with integrity are long gone.  The key word in reporting is no longer veracity, but is now sensationalism.   Grab the viewer by any means possible.

We also know that Politicians have gotten worse about telling the public anything that they think will help them get elected, and leave out the inconvenient truth.  Their vote on legislation is bought and paid for by powerful Lobbyist’s.    The joke about crooked Politicians and the lies they tell is no longer funny.  The best interest of John and Jane Q. Public is as far down of the list of our Politicians priorities as to be nonexistent.  It has become all about spin.

There is a very important subject on the minds of most Americans today.  It has taken on a life of its own in our Media and by the Political Spin Machines.  It is the subject of the safety of our most precious and vulnerable members of society, our children.  The safety of our children is being used by Political Machines and the Media for profit.  How can we adequately protect our children if we are constantly fed propaganda and the truth is kept from us?  We cannot!  No protective force has a chance against a foe that they do not understand or even know their location.  If you do not have any idea whom  the enemy is and the best way to fight that enemy, armed with the latest research and the latest weapons, you do not stand a chance.

The definition I have heard of Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.  What America has been led to believe will protect their children from abuse has not worked and will not work because it is based on myth and false information.

OUR MISSION and GOALS

Our mission is to provide you with the information you need to be educated in the truth.  We seek to provide you with the hundreds of research studies done by our Federal and State governments and also by world renowned researchers done by Professionals in the field of research and Sex Offender Treatment Professionals on Sex Offenders and Sex Offense.  We will not just TELL you what these studies have shown, we will provide you with the tools to find these studies and read them for yourselves to prove what they are saying.  We will provide you with information that the media and our Politicians won’t.  We seek to radically reduce the number of child victims of abuse.  It is not possible to eliminate it, those who tell you that is their mission are not being realistic, they are selling you hype.  We seek to do this through educating the public and our legislators and by pushing for laws and policies that PREVENT abuse, not simply reacting once the abuse has already occurred.  We seek to encourage laws and policies that the experts in the field have been telling us WILL reduce re-offense by registered sex offenders and that make sense to protect our children based on fact based evidence, not knee jerk legislation based on artificially created hysteria.

The TRUTH can help to set our Children free from sexual abuse.  They deserve the time it takes us as citizens, as parents, to educate ourselves in the facts and demand action from our Media and Politicians based on those facts.  The tragic fact is that sexual abuse in our sexualized society is not just going to go away.  We must arm ourselves with the most up to date, factual information to truly understand the problem and the most effective ways to get us closer to “No More Victims”
